Do You Want The Pain To Stop?

Call our emergency number now!

Ever wonder what causes tooth pain? Usually it is tooth decay becoming severe enough to reach the nerve inside the tooth. As the nerve becomes infected pain and sensitivity to heat/cold and pressure can occur sporadically. Over time pain occurs more frequently and intensifies. That's usually when we get the "emergency call"!

We use digital X-rays and a diagnostic laser called a Diagnodent™ to find decay before it reaches the nerve, repairing it with a white filling. Extensive decay can weaken tooth structure so much it requires we repair it with a crown. Plus, if the nerve is reached a root canal is first done, and then a crown is placed.

Sometimes a tooth is so damaged it must be pulled. When that happens it's important to immediately replace it with a bridge or implant.

There is nothing worse than being up all night with a toothache and not being able to see a cosmetic dentist immediately! Because of this, we will fit new or established Dallas Laser Dentistry emergency patients into our schedule.

If you have an dental emergency and would like to see a dallas cosmetic dentist, call (214) 739-8888 and let the Appointment Manager know that you're in pain and have a dental emergency. Be sure to explain that you're having dental pain so that your appointment will be made a priority!

Dental Emergency - Toothache Pain
Dental pain is nature's way of telling you that there's a dental problem. You should see a Dallas dentist immediately because you might have a dental infection. If a dental infection is left untreated it may result in facial swelling and the need for the dentist to place you in a hospital.

Consider calling your Dallas dentist. If you are an established patient, pain reducing and antibiotic medications can be called into a pharmacy for you until you can get in to the dental office to see the dentist.

Dental Emergency - Lost, Broken, or Chipped Fillings
If you're not experiencing dental pain there's usually less of an apparent need to see a dentist right away. However, the problem with your filling may be due to an underlying painless cavity in your tooth. Delay in seeing a dentist may result in the decay growing and later need for a root canal to save this tooth.

Dental Emergency - Knocked Out Tooth
Got Milk? Milk is the perfect medium for keeping a tooth alive and well until patient and tooth can get to a dentist. Milk is so good because it is free of harmful bacteria. It is also the type of liquid that supports the vitality of the cells and tissues on the root surface of the tooth; the cells are less likely to absorb milk and ultimately burst, which can happen far more quickly in water. In this case you must go to a dentist immediately with the tooth that came out. Until you can get to a dentist you can place the tooth in your cheek or in a glass of milk. In many cases the dentist can place your tooth back into it's socket. However, you must see the dentist immediately to better the chances of this procedure working.
